No just Tuesdays from 6 to 8. Wine tasting from 5 to 7
Cute little wine bar! Had a reservation, but didn't even need it as tables were empty early evening during happy hour. Found out they do not have a happy hour drink or food specials & just haven't changed that from online & Open Table. Found a lovely bottle of wine to share. Food was nice, brushetta was very delicious. We had sandwiches they were decent for a deli type sandwich. Noise level was a little loud once other dinners arrived. Staff was very attentive & very impressed that there was only 2 ladies working on a busy Friday evening. Will definitely be back to enjoy another wonderful glass of wine with other friends!
Cute place for small plates. Likely known more for its wine than its food. Open air concept sliding windows provide nice seating for summer farmers' markets.
Nice, casual atmosphere with a, need I say it?, terrific wine list! Some pretty good beers, too, and tasty appetizers and salads.
Great wine and food! Atmosphere was very nice and service was great!
We met here on our 1st date and love going back, Vino is a beautiful place with wonderful wine.
I absolutely love this place. I have had French Onion soup in France. The French Onion soup here beats any I have had and the chicken salad is amazing. Vino209 also sports a small bar which is perfect for me as I am single and eat alone often. When I eat at Vino209, the wait staff make me feel like a part of their family. That is important when you are single, like me.Lovely setting. Friendly staff. The best!Hey Kelly, you know me! I shall return. Had my favorite chicken salad sandwich. Vino209 is hands down one of Des Moines best secrets.
Food was great prices are what one would expect $8-10 for appetizers, $10-12 sandwiches etc. Wine was very good. We stopped by for the tasting, tried again red that was so-so and a great Sav Blanc. Bought a bottle for $36 which was about average. Location seats about 30 people total. Quiet and good for conversation. Dessert was really good. Flourless chocolate cake and Turtle Cheesecake. Top notch.
Chef Andrew really is amazing. His culinary creations delight the palate. We have enjoyed the food here a few times. Try the wagu sliders which are delicious! Love coming to see what's on the menu. Our server Caitlyn was friendly and offered prompt service. What a great place!
Great collection of wine! Perfect for date night, they have live music.
Simply lovely! A glass of wine & a beautiful, delish salad. Am I in West Des Moines?!
Valley Junction, as the area is locally known, has been in need of a little uplift for some time. Now there is a modern little wine bar which is as much an evening destination, as a watering hole for shoppers. They offer a well selected wine list, local beers and tasty sandwiches. Friendly and attentive service. My only negative comment is that like any remodeled old brick built space, with no soft surfaces to dampen noise, the levels can be a bit overpowering when the place is busy.
Excellent experience! Food was incredible, wait staff was incredible. Definitely plan to return.
Fantastic dining experience tucked nicely into the valley junction layout. Exquisitely crafted dishes filled with the highest quality ingredients. Try the French Onion soup! Comfortable atmosphere with a superior selection of wines to please any palate. 13/10 would take a date here or treat myself to lunch or an evening glass.
